Invention of writing originates in Sumeria (Mesopotamia), as does the cult of man-god, which spread to Egypt and from Egypt to Greece and Rome. That Abraham, the father of Hebrew monotheism, was called out of Ur of the Chaldees in Sumeria (Mesopotamia) is therefore highly significant. For century upon century, the persistence of Hebrew monotheism, prophecy, and promise of Messiah stood in opposition to the cult of man-god, rooted in the cult of the goddess Isis or Ishtar. So it's also highly significant then, that during the reign of Caesar Augustus (who proclaimed himself god), Iisoús Christós (Ιησούς Χριστός - Jesus Christ) was born after Augustus decreed that all the Empire should be taxed at the ancestral homes of each and every citizen.
Early in the reign of Augustus, Halley’s Comet passed over Rome, and Augustus claimed it was the spirit of Julius Caesar (upon whose death was declared to be god) entering heaven. If Caesar was a god (as the demonically deluded "reasoning" goes), then, as his heir, Augustus was the son of a god, which he proclaimed boldly and emphatically. This made Augustus one in a long line of "antichrists" (imposter sons of god) that is leading up to the appearance of The Antichrist, satan's worldly world empire puppet that inverts everything that is the Hebrew messiah — Theanthropos (God-man comm-union) not man-god delusional self proclaiming oneself to be god, which Hebrews condemned as blasphemy. This same satanic-demonic inversion gave rise to the notion that “Lucifer” is the true benefactor of humanity, not the Hebrew Messiah (Christ), which has been passed down to Mormonism via Freemasonry, which some see connected at its higher echelons above 33rd degree to what is termed the Illuminati, which in turn is seen connected to deluded spirituality that orginated in Babylon, in Sumeria (Mesopotamia). In Hebrew scripture, the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar was but one in the long line of man-god "kings" of Sumeria (Mesopotamia), who had the 3 youths thrown in the fiery furnace for refusing to bow down and worship the statue he made of himself.

When Constantine the Great moved the capitol of the Roman Empire east to Byzantium, making the West the seat of ensuing apostasty (the direction towards which Orthodox Christians spit on satan to renounce him), the Mystery of Lawlessness was unleashed as a critical part of God's plan of salvation that culminates in His bringing an end to the fallen temporal world. When St John received his vision (Revelation), there he saw the Mystery of Babylon connected in consort (fornication) with the Mystery of Lawlessness (the Beast).
All of the apostasy that occurred over time in Western Europe led up to the colonial imperialism of England and then industrialism, which was taken over by the USA and taken global along with the other minor players of Western Europe. USA today is still the global superpower as it became after World War II, and the biggest consumer market in the world, indicating that US is the final, daughter of Babylon that will fall, causing the entire global economy to crumble and thereby initiate the appearance of The Antichrist (The Beast) who is the puppet of the dragon, satan.
Decades ago, E.T. aliens already gave indication of malevolence, not simply the benevolence UFO groupies focused on in their delusion of alien superior technology. So is it really any wonder that the human hubris of technology is starting to feel "other worldly"? Does any of this (aliens, AI, etc. etc.) really cause surprise any more?

Here hear Steiner expounding his “philosophy” (like so many other delusional Westerners) of “spiritual science”, rambling on and on about materialism, mysticism, etc. ad nauseum in typical fashion of delusional Western philosophy and occult spirituality.
Steiner completely, ignorantly ignores what the Hebrew Messiah taught, that Love of Money is the root of all evil, and that materialism is none other than worship of Mammon (material things, money) by which humans unconsciously and unwittingly love and serve satan instead of loving and serving God, because the two are mutually exclusive. There's no fence sitting, only a strict either or decision.

The phrase “rides The Beast” is expressive of the Whore of Babylon‘s sexual union (material, not spiritual) with The Beast (aka Antichrist). Seemingly, the Whore is the Amoral (Immoral) Economy with whom the kings (power mongers) of the earth commit extramarital fornication (illicit material “sexual” union), and by whom the merchants of the earth wax rich by the “power of her wantonness”. Her power resides in her wantonness, her indiscretion and willingness to have material economic intercourse (to fornicate) with any and every king (power monger) — anywhere on Earth, hence the global economy.
Material sexual fornication of individuals is but a type, a foreshadowing of the Mammon fornication committed by power mongers with the Whore of Babylon (the Amoral (Immoral) Economy). That political moralists (Calvinistic, Puritan moral majority, christian coalition, conservative christians) make such a huge ordeal over individual fornication, while cozying up to the Republican Party, thereby aiding and abetting the Mammon fornication of power mongers, illustrates the depths of delusion of such heterodox pseudo-christianity.
Love of Money, not individual sexual moral failing, is the root of all evil, but that is lost on those deluded and deceived by the father of lies (satan), who continually make a big political stink over homosexuality and abortion, but not so much over heterosexual fornication, especially if it doesn't lead to pregnancy and abortion, and definitely not over fornication with the Whore of Babylon (the Amoral (Immoral) Economy) promoted by their political pseudo-saints, Republican Party politicians.
The Whore, her kings (power mongers), and her merchants all pale in comparison to The True Bridegroom and Lover of Humanity (the only One who possesses licit Real power), whose selfless faithful, marital (spiritual not material sexual) union with Humanity is the Oneness of Real spiritual comm-union, not the deceptive lie of fallen, fragmented, egotistical, selfish, greedy material fornication, the Love of Money that is progenitor of all evil.

Reformed Protestant “Prophecy”
In contradiction to Eastern Orthodox Phronema, Reformed Protestant evangelicals are notorious for having Itching ears and for titillating themselves with imaginative, fantastical, literal interpretations of “prophecy” that Tickle The Ears. (2 Tim 4:3)
Rick (R. A.) Coombes, S. Douglas Woodward, D.W. Krieger, and Roger King are unique among Reformed Protestant prophecy interpretors in that they do not follow the mainstream of evangelical prophecy that embraces American exceptionalism and that absolves the United States of America (USA) of any evil doing as if infallible (sinless), portraying the US in Puritan fashion as the “City on a Hill”, as a light to the nations, a positive example of selfless godliness.
Anyone who looks beyond the superficialities of US Government presented on mainstream Media to alternative reports of US Foreign Policy (e.g. Covert Action Magazine) knows such exceptionalism is bunk. Embrace of right wing political exceptionalism only contributes (along with many other antics, e.g. TV “evangelists”) to the discredit, not only of American evangelical Reformed Protestantism, but to the discredit of Christianity as a whole, because few are capable of sorting through western confusion regarding The Church.
The unorthodox evangelical interpretors of American Babylon prophecy provide an abundance of food for thought, only to the extent that it is sifted through the lens of Eastern Orthodox Christianity (Orthodoxy). What would Dr. Jeanie say? Essentially she would say (just as William Blake did) that the book of Revelation is NOT intended as a literalistic, prophetic documentation of forthcoming human events or doomsday scenario, but a guide for Christians who read it to a blessed end, i.e. for preservation of Christian faith in the midst of great adversity and apostasy.
Coombes provides a lot of useful historical background of the Old Testament, something evangelical Reformed Protestants are adept at as the legacy of the Puritans. Much of it is based on archaeological evidence that helps debunk biblical detractors and nay sayers, and establishes Holy Writ as something rooted in historical reality, which helps strengthen Christian faith by making the context of faith more tangible, but only as long as Orthodox confirmation exists for any specifics of information. Interpretations of the Nephilim (or Annakim) and Babylon (Babel) should be critiqued by Orthodox Christian biblical and patristic scholarship, especially when it comes to claimed connection of Nephilim to aliens and UFOs.
Woodward airs a lot of dirty laundry of American elites and their control of US Government, especially when it comes to post World War II cozying up to Nazis, and embrace of Nazis for anti-Communism. His references to John Loftus are sound, but Coombes references to Richard C. Hoagland are not. Involvement of Nazis from the Third Reich in NASA and occultic involvement of NASA are plausible, however many claims by Hoagland about NASA are made completely without any documented evidence at all, and are so outlandish and incredibly far fetched to be considered unbelievable. Hoagland's character also calls his claims into question. What won't he say or do to make a name for himself?
Some secular investigators of alien and UFO phenomenon have concluded that such aliens are not all benevolent, and interested in saving mankind as early mainstream UFO-ologists reported (and New Agers still misrepresent), and that there is often the smell of burning sulfur as was observed in the Medieval Ages that indicated the presence of demons. So conclusions that aliens are the appearance of malevolent, fallen, angelic beings does not need to be disputed. The Orthodox Church has always taught the art of spiritual warfare that acknowledges the Evil One (satan) and demons as real beings.
The goal of any and all such information should be making the spiritual danger of the world palpable (especially for youth and young adults who are typically leaving the Christian faith), so that anyone can lay hold of every reason to believe. This is most compelling when youth and young adults are taught from an early age that, as Orthodox Christian theology upholds, the meaning and purpose of life is the temporal (temporary) time for human repentance for attaining to uncreated Divine energies (grace of God) in order to be united with Him in comm-union eternally, not to while away the temporal time one is given Amusing Ourselves to Death, seeking entertainment, and amassing great fortune, mountains of material things, extensive fame and power.
Christians, not demons, are the aliens of this world. We are not of this world. The Kingdom of Heaven is our fatherland, heaven is our home. For that reason, Christians should expect a level of discomfort in this world. That there is abundance of comfort, convenience, and luxury in the modern world should call it into question, and raise warning flags. Such is demonic attribute of Mammon indicative of Babylon, not the Kingdom of Heaven. No one should be lulled into thinking modern Western civilization is benign, and benevolent towards humanity, the way early UFO-ologists mistakenly thought aliens to be.
It may be speculative and inconclusive that America is definitively the Daughter of Babylon, but the possibility does exist. That possibility can and should serve to prompt Christians to be watchful, and not to uncritically embrace any and all aspects of modern Western civilization (The American Way, The System of Organized crime). Considering, however, that Babylon is the kingdom from which The Whore of Babylon operates (manipulates), and that Whore is the Amoral (Immoral) Economy, then that makes Babylon much more than America. America may be the capital of Babylon, but Babylon is the entire western, westernized, and westernizing world where The Whore of Babylon fornicates with each and every king and power monger.
Everyone must choose which Master to serve — God or Mammon. The US has come to show definite signs of being mastered by Mammon and being the tool of satan. Christian youth and young adults especially must come to know that with choices (free will) come responsibility. Everyone will live (or die) as the consequences of their choices. At the Final Judgement, Iisoús Christós (Ιησούς Χριστός - Jesus Christ) will make our choices transparent and visible to all, and will pronounce each of our eternal destinies accordingly.

“Orthodox Christians confess that “Jesus is Lord” in their Nicene Creed, but Gnostics confess no such belief. Rather than adapting to the Orthodox faith that Jesus was God incarnate, Pagels explains that the Gnostics understood the concept that “[Jesus] was a spiritual being who adapted himself to human perception” (73). The Gnostics present Jesus “not as Lord, but as spiritual guide,” who came to show his followers how to accomplish enlightenment–or achieve moksha (Pagels xxi). Furthermore, a true Gnostic would refer to himself as Jesus’ twin spiritually because “when [a] disciple attains enlightenment, Jesus no longer serves as spiritual master: the two have become equal–even identical” (Pagels xx). In learning their true identity, Gnostics discover that the Father’s better half is none other than–drum roll, please–the Holy Spirit, according to the Apocryphon of John. This particular Gnostic gospel presents an alternate version of the holy trinity, featuring God, the Father; God, the Mother; and their son, Jesus (Pagels 52). “‘Christ, therefore, was born of a virgin’ (that is, from the Spirit)” explains Pagels in The Gnostic Gospels (53). This shows the Gnostic belief that, although he “was a spiritual being,” Jesus wrapped himself in a human cocoon, being the product of both Mary and Joseph. The Gnostic belief in Jesus, even this unconventional one, slightly separates Gnosticism from Hinduism, but the separation seems a mere crack in the foundation these two religions sit on in comparison to the canyon between Orthodoxy and Gnosticism.”
