Teutonic

Teutonic (Germanic) is the flashpoint that's key to understanding Modernity. The Roman historian Tacitus describes the ancient Germanic peoples as blonde or red haired and blue eyed, yet modern day Germanic people are far more diverse, and Celtic people (especially Irish) are more readily associated with red hair and blue eyes than Germanic people are. Could it be that the ancient Celtic peoples (among whom Germanic peoples lived) were black haired and dark eyed like Mediterranean people typically are, and that they eventually did mix with Germanic peoples?

By the 15th century, there are blue-eyed Spaniards who spread that gene to the new world, as testified by blue-eyed Mexicans and other Latin Americans. Undoubtedly, the gene was spread to Spain long before the 15th century by Germanic Visigoths, the logical conclusion being that humanity in Modernity is composed of dynamic, not static groups. Indeed, humanity is the Family of Man, and the True Church is the Family of God, of the God-man comm-union.

The Third Wave (experiment) (The Wave) illustrates how any group of people can be manipulated into supporting repressive, authoritarian regimes the way the German people were manipulated into supporting Nazism. All humans are imperfect (“sinners”), lacking comm-union with Divine Perfection and therefore in need of humility in order to be brought to repentance, so they can be forgiven and restored to Divine comm-union.

The hallmark of True Christianity is Love of God (1st Commandment of Mosaic Law) as lived through love of neighbor and love of enemies, because all humanity is created in the image and likeness of God, and the only enemy of humanity is the father of lies (satan), not any human group. History of both World Wars magnifies the absence of both love of neighbor and love of enemies in Western Christendom (Western Europe), indicating a lack of any real Love of God. “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?” (1 John 4:20)

Germany was very much a late-comer (mid-late 19th century) to the period of nation building, and was met by long established neighboring nations (especially Britain and France), not with love, but with jealousy and hatred. And in the aftermath of both World Wars, the German people were met not with love, but hatred, vengeance and vindictiveness. Reportedly at the time, the German nation and people were hated as much as the Jews were. Imagine what might have been if those two groups of despised peoples had turned to each other in love and support in response to their haters?

Together with the Wars of Western Religion, the two World Wars bring into sharp focus the lack of real understanding and practice of Christianity in Western Christendom, the cause for deep, ongoing repentance, for turning again (metanoia) to Traditional Christianity, away from western heterodoxy (Catholicism, Protestantism) to Orthodoxy.

Teutons | Wikipedia
— Teutonic is a synonym for Germanic, used here to include Scandinavians, Austrians, and Swiss, and also because German and Germanic have become loaded words after being used disparingly in the buildup to, and aftermath of the World Wars. For example, when World War II is mentioned, the Nazi regime is referred to as “the Germans” and/or “Germany”.

Tacitus | Wikipedia
Tacitus’ Germania: Insights Into the Origins of Germany
— “Tacitus confidently stated that the Germanic tribes were aboriginal and unmixed by intermarriage with other ethnicities or peoples. Typically large-framed and fierce, with blond or red hair and blue eyes, the Germanic tribes commanded bold demeanors. To Romans, they exhibited tremendous strength but poor stamina and no ability to bear heat and thirst.”

More than 9 million Germans died as a result of deliberate Allied starvation and expulsion policies after World War II—one quarter of the country was annexed, and about 15 million people expelled in the largest act of ethnic cleansing the world has ever known. Over 2 million of these alone, including countless children, died on the road or in concentration camps in Poland and elsewhere. That these deaths occurred at all is still being denied by Western governments.
[More than 1.5 times the claim of 6 million Jews killed by Nazis, yet most likely no genocide museums will ever be built in every major US city to commemorate German deaths, nor will they be featured alongside minority genocide in Jewish Holocaust museums.]
At the same time, Herbert Hoover and Canadian Prime Minister MacKenzie King created the largest charity in history, a food-aid program that saved an estimated 800 million lives during three years of global struggle against post–World War II famine—a program they had to struggle for years to make accessible to the German people, who had been excluded from it as a matter of official Allied policy.
Never before had such revenge been known. Never before had such compassion been shown. The first English-speaking writer to gain access to the newly opened KGB archives in Moscow and to recently declassified information from the renowned Hoover Institution in California, James Bacque tells the extraordinary story of what happened to these people and why.

Following World War I France and Britain refused to listen to the statesmen who said that you can have peace or vengeance, not both. They broke their armistice pledge to Germany that peace would be made on the basis of President Wilson’s Fourteen Points and “the principles of settlement enunciated” by the American President. They continued the starvation blockade of Germany for six months after the Armistice, in order to force the German democrats who had taken over the government to sign a dictated peace. Having promised a peace without annexations or indemnities, they deprived Germany of territory and imposed a crushing reparations burden on the newly established Weimar Republic. Having promised general disarmament they disarmed Germanv without disarming themselves. The victors refused even to discuss the terms of peace with the vanquished who had surrendered on stated conditions which were not fulfilled, and in general discredited democracy in German eyes by associating it with broken pledges, national humiliation, and economic distress.
[No differently than the way the USA broke every treaty ever made with Native Americans, the only unbroken treaty with Native Americans being the Meusebach-Comanche Treaty made by the Texas Germans of Fredericksburg.]

Understanding Hitler’s Anti-Semitism
Hitler uses popular frustrations to come to power. He uses the Great Depression to come to power. He presents himself precisely as a German nationalist who is going to get the German economy going, who is going to bring Germans inside the borders of Germany. That’s how he presents himself, but that is a lie. He’s quite consciously manipulating German national sentiment to get to power and then to start the war, which he thinks will transform the Germans, as it were, from a nation into a race. So he’s aware that German nationalism is a force in the world, but he’s just using it in order to create the world that he wants, which is this world of racial struggle. And he’s actually pretty explicit about that, which is pretty striking. So he knows that the Germans care about Germany, but he doesn’t. He actually just wants to manipulate their attachment to Germany—to toss them out into this struggle, which will purify them and so on....
[I]f we think that Hitler was just a nationalist, but more so, or just an authoritarian, but more so, we’re missing the capacity for evil completely. If Hitler had just been a German nationalist who wanted to rule over Germans—if he was just an authoritarian who wanted to have a strong state—the Holocaust could not have happened. The Holocaust could happen because he was neither of those things. He wasn’t really a nationalist. He was a kind of racial anarchist who thought that the only good in the world was for races to compete, and so he thought that the Germans would probably win in a racial competition, but he wasn’t sure. And as far as he was concerned, if the Germans lost, that was also alright. And that’s just not a view that a nationalist can hold. I think a nationalist cannot sacrifice his entire people on the altar of the idea that there has to be racial competition, which is what Hitler did, and that’s what made him different...
